We continually strive to improve safety through training and cultural development. Our policies and procedures help us ensure a safe and healthful workplace for our employees and the success of projects for our clients.

Employment
- Drug Screening for all new hires
- A drug free workplace with zero tolerance
- New hire orientation and safety training before the first day onsite

Training
- OSHA 10/30 training for all foreman and several field employees
- CPR/First Aid training for all foreman and several field employees
- Competent Person training
- STI Scaffold Competent Person training and certificates
- Weekly safety “Tool Box Talks”
- Daily “Job Hazard Analysis” on site
- Additional safety training performed in the classroom and in the field by a full time Safety Director

Culture
- Continual job site safety audits from management
- Safety Director who is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer and Scaffold Training Institute instructor
- Monthly safety committee meetings comprised of field employees
- Incentive programs for employees who show safe behavior and reach ONSM’s goal of zero accidents
- Reward programs for employees who suggest ways to improve safety
- Full time bi-lingual training assistant to communicate effectively to the Hispanic workforce
